Grow Young Fitness is here for you!
There have been many studies done to prove that keeping it moving is very important. One study I have come across, followed more than 1,600 men and women between the ages of 70 and 89. None of them exercised regularly and all were relatively weak. Half of the group were randomly assigned to an exercise program that included daily walking plus adding in strength and balance exercises such as the Grow Young Fitness workouts. The other half took part in education workshops on healthy aging and sometimes added in some gentle stretching routines.
The results came in and the members in the exercise group were 28% less likely to have become disabled. They were also 18% less likely to have had any episode of physical disability.
These improvements, don’t even begin to capture the real benefit of exercise as it was only just a short study. Imaging the results that actually happen after years of following Grow Young Fitness!
Living longer with less dependence by doing the Grow Young Fitness workouts!
Did you know, in 1914, the average child born in the United States had a life expectancy of only about 55 years. Today you can expect to live much longer. Those that are healthy and active well into there later years will be able to continue to keep their independence while reducing risk of injury or developing chronic illness.
For others, growing old will mean loss of balance, strength, and increased dependence on others, especially if you are not following Grow Young Fitness workouts.
It is proven that all people who are physically more active and who exercise regularly are more likely to continue to be able to walk independently and do other activities on their own compared to those that do not such as daily household tasks, getting groceries, and a life of independence.
So, is it possible for inactive men and women to change this scenario?
YES, the answer is yes! A structured exercise program like Grow Young Fitness can make a huge difference even among older individuals who do not currently exercise or have never exercised.
Some older people may have the impression that they have passed the age at which starting an exercise program will do them any good. Grow Young Fitness knows that starting to exercise at any age offers huge benefits today and down the road.
Starting an exercise program can be a challenge no matter what stage of life you are in. It’s best to start slow. Listen to your body and modify if you cannot do some of the moves. Then gradually work your way up.
Setting goals for healthy living are important for all of us to do!
